My name is Billy Ammons, and I’m running for the Alabama House of Representatives because I believe our state works best when it’s led by people who have actually served, built something, and lived with the consequences of government decisions.

I’m an Alabama native, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a small business owner, and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Public Health. Like many families across our state, mine has experienced firsthand how hard work, discipline, and faith—not politics—are what truly move communities forward.

I served five years in the United States Marine Corps, where I learned leadership under pressure, accountability, and what it means to put the mission and your people before yourself. After my service, I went on to build a veteran-owned pavement marking and infrastructure business, creating jobs and working directly with municipalities and contractors across the Southeast. Running a business taught me what too many politicians forget: every regulation, tax, and delay has real consequences for working families.

I’m running to fight for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and common-sense solutions that strengthen Alabama’s economy, protect individual freedom, and support our veterans, law enforcement, and working families. I believe in local control, safe communities, strong infrastructure, and an Alabama government that serves its citizens—not itself.

Public service shouldn’t be about climbing the next political rung. It should be about showing up, doing the work, and leaving things better than you found them. That’s the same mindset I had in uniform, in business, and it’s the mindset I’ll bring to the Alabama House.
